Wilderness First Aid

Service Description

This 2 day WFA course is intensive and covers principles of preventing and treating wilderness injuries; ideal for those that spend time recreating, working, or living in remote settings. This training culminates in earning a nationally recognized 2 year certification through SOLO, the oldest continuously operating wilderness medical school in the world. You will receive an email at least 1 week prior to the course start date with the address of our Yurt and other important course details. The Yurt is located about 15-20 minutes from downtown Palmer.

Cancellation Policy

Our Cancellation Policy for each course listed below: Wilderness First Responder (WFR): Payment is due at the time of registration.  If you must cancel, please allow 1-week notice.  Course fees will be refunded minus 10% admin fee.  There are no refunds issued if you cancel less than 1-week prior to the course. Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT): A 1000.00 deposit is due at the time of registration. The balance is due 14 days prior to course start date. If you must cancel, please do so 14 days prior to course start date to receive your full deposit minus a 10% admin fee.  There will be no refunds issued if you cancel less than 14 days prior to course start date. All other courses unless otherwise specified: Payment is due at the time of registration.  If you must cancel, please allow 72-hour notice.  Course fees will be refunded minus 10% admin fee.  There are no refunds issued if you cancel less than 72 hours prior to the course. Please note that we have a minimum number required to host our courses.  If that number is not met the course may be postponed until a later date.  In the event this occurs, a refund will be issued or you can register for another course should you choose to do so.
